Terms of service
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. What this is
HapiTech Report is a web service for running and documenting statutory inspections of work equipment and lifting equipment under LOLER, PUWER and PSSR. This document is a draft of the terms under which the service is provided. It does not yet form a binding contract, and it has not been reviewed by a solicitor.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accounts created in your company, for keeping passwords and sign-in codes private, and for what happens while you are signed in. Accounts are created by an administrator in your company; the service does not offer public sign-up.
3. What the service does and does not do
The service records inspections, supports the inspection workflow, and produces reports of what was recorded. It helps an inspection engineer organise and evidence their work. It does not itself carry out inspections, and it does not certify equipment. The legal responsibility for carrying out a statutory inspection, and for the accuracy of the recorded findings, remains with the person carrying it out and their employer.
4. Your data
You keep control of the inspection records and client data you enter. See the privacy notice and the data-processing description for how data is handled, retained and deleted, and who can access it.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to process data you are not entitled to process. You must not attempt to gain access to another company's data, another user's account, or the underlying infrastructure.
6. Availability
The service is provided as-is during the alpha. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it available, but downtime may happen, and the data you enter is your responsibility to keep backed up through the provided export tools.
7. Contact
Questions about this draft or about the service should be sent to the HapiTech support address shown on the HapiTech website.
